This watercolour series reflects my mental health journey during a difficult period of my life. At that time, my world felt dark, heavy, and limited to these colours. The imagery is drawn from my own feelings and experiences, and I photographed myself in specific settings to use as drawing references for the overall composition.

HOMO SAPIENS ARE EVIL SPECIES
The ideas behind this series is inspired by my childhood and years as a teenager. During that time, I was sick, and that sickness grew stronger and more fatal as I entered my teen years. I was however, too young to realize how sick I was or even that I was suffering, and completely oblivious as to any treatment procedures. That time in my life was the optimal period for receiving treatment and becoming healthier as well, and I missed it.

Even though I missed that oppurtunity, years later looking back, I’ve found that being able to express that time in my life through art and painting has become a form of treatment and healing for myself.
